Gloves, thread, stuffed animal
I have destroyed a treasured object to carry the memory of that object. My memories are not a burden but they are distracting. Holding onto the past, holding onto nostalgia is a pair of bright pink hands with yellow fingernails. Each holds a fragment of a stuffed animal in their palms. Sewn haphazardly with yellow thread, the connection between the stuffed animal and hand is strong. The second skin, the plush presence is a boundary between outside forces such as a hard surface, someone else, or cold air.
